`We Are All Former Embryos'
Italy held a referendum this weekend on fertility treatments. the Vatican and a bunch of politicans voted `no' or urged voters to abstain, so the referendum never gained a quorum.
so as of today, the strictest laws in europe are still in place, including laws banning stem cell research, restricting the use of surrogate mothers and sperm donors and limiting the number of embryos that can be used in pregnancy attempts.
i wish i could have voted.
